Anemia Testing Camp held at Panchayat Parladhpur

JAMMU, September 19: An Anemia testing camp under ‘Test, Treat and Talk’ theme was today organized under Poshan Maah 2023 at Panchayat Parladhpur.

The programme was conducted under the theme of the Poshan Maah 2023 i.e. “Suposhit Bharat, Shakshar Bharat and Sashakt Bharat” by   Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Satwari, Sachin Sharma.

District Programme Officer Jammu, Renu Bhasin was the chief Guest, while Dr Sameer Koul, BMO Sohanjana and Amarjeet Kour, Sarpanch Parladhpur were the special Invitees.

 PRIs, Officers from Health Dept, Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers, Locals and a large number of beneficiaries of POSHAN Project Satwari attended the programme.

A detailed Lecture on causes, symptoms and treatment on Anemia and importance of testing was delivered by BMO Sohanjana. Different nutrition items were also displayed which were prepared in the Anganwadi Centres.

Further, a skit on Poshan was presented by Anganwadi Workers and a Pledge Taking Ceremony on Poshan was also administered to all the participants.

DPO Jammu emphasised on providing healthy Nutrition to the beneficiaries including millets and locally produced fruits and vegetables to ensure well being of the beneficiaries.

Vote of Thanks was presented by CDPO Satwari who highlighted the importance of Poshan (Nutrition) and adoption of healthy Nutrition to improve the Nutritional status of beneficiaries of Anganwadi Centres.
