Animal Husbandry Department Leh Conducts Training on Fodder Cultivation
Leh, September 3, 2024 — The Animal Husbandry Department conducted a one-day training program on fodder cultivation, conservation, and utilization on September 2, 2024 at Leh headquarter. This initiative was held in collaboration with the Regional Fodder Station, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Dairying, Shuhama Alusteng, Ganderbal.
The program aimed to enhance local knowledge and skills related to effective fodder cultivation practices. It included sessions on improving fodder yield, conservation techniques, and optimal utilization strategies. In addition to the training, participants were provided with free fodder seeds, supporting their immediate implementation of the techniques learned.
The training witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers across various Sub-divisions, including Leh, Durbuk, Nyoma, Nubra, and Khaltsi Sub-division.
