Animal Husbandry Department Leh organises Bharat Pashudhan training session
Leh, July 28: Animal Husbandry Department Leh organized a comprehensive training session for the implementation of Bharat Pashudhan, catering to the technical staff members of the Department
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Leh extended his gratitude to the training team for their dedication and effort to impart valuable training to the AHD officials. He emphasized the importance of embracing technology and empowering stakeholders with digital tools, leading to a more efficient and sustainable ecosystem in the livestock sector.
Earlier, Director ASH&F welcomed the team and expressed excitement about the transformative potential of NDLM in revolutionizing the livestock sector.
Additionally, Project Director, NDLM acknowledged active engagement and the multitude of questions posed, highlighting the proactive implementation of the program. He emphasized that the success of implementation in the remote areas of Leh will serve as a model for the rest of India.
A Q&A session was conducted after the training session, during which the team addressed the challenges faced by the officials during the program’s implementation in the field.
This initiative is a component of the National Digital Livestock Mission (NDLM), a project aimed at creating a comprehensive database that encompasses both static and dynamic information about each tagged animal.
The database will house crucial data, including vaccination records, disease/treatment records, breeding details, commercial activities, livestock census, surveillance and outbreak reporting, and other relevant information. All data will be recorded in real-time, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions and take timely actions to enhance livestock health and productivity.
