Annual Intra-Mural Tournaments 2024 Conclude with Grand Prize Distribution at EJM College, Leh

Leh, September 18, 2024: The Department of Physical Education and Sports of EJM College, Leh, successfully concluded the Annual Intra-Mural Tournaments 2024 with prize distribution ceremony which held today at the campus. The event saw active participation in various sports including Tug of War, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Handball, and Football for both men’s and women’s teams.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of University of Ladakh, Prof. S. K. Mehta, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. He addressed the students and emphasized the importance of balancing both sports and academics. He encouraged the students to maintain their passion for sports while excelling in their studies.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including the Special Guest and Registrar of the University of Ladakh Nawang Tundup, Director of College Affairs University of Ladakh Prof. Tashi Ldawa, Special Secretary to the Vice Chancellor Sonam Wankchuk, and Principal of EJM College, Dr. Sameena Iqbal. The program was organized under the leadership of Lt. Dr. Ujwala Koche and Lt. Dr. Tsering Spalzom.

Dr. Sameena Iqbal delivered the welcome speech, expressing her gratitude to the guests and congratulating the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the 9-day tournament. A cultural program organized by Department of Physical Education, added to the festive atmosphere of the event.

The prize distribution was carried out by the esteemed guests, with Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and Director of College Affairs presenting awards to the winning teams and individual achievers.

The tournament provided a platform for students to showcase their athletic skills while fostering a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
