ANTF seized huge quantity of Narcotics, arrested 2 hardcore drug dealers of Jalandhar & Kashmir

APRIL 17: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drug trafficking and drug abuse from grossroots level under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, ANTF Jammu has seized a truck bearing registration number JK18A 0425 from Narwal and recovered 830.900 kilogram of poppy straw. In this regard case FIR, NO 02 U/S 8/15/29 NDPS act has been registered at PS ANTF Jammu. Two interstate drug paddlers namely Nazil Qadir S/O Ghulam Qadir Bhat R/O Rajpura Pulwama and Jaswinder Singh S/O Manohar Singh R/O Phillaur Jalandhar have been arrested in the instant case. The ANTF team has zeroed in the main drug receiver who has been identified as Harvinder Singh Basi S/O Bhag Singh Basi and Digvijay Singh Basi S/O Harvinder Singh Basi residents of Garaha Phillaur Jalandhar who was wanted in multiple cases of NDPS in JK. A team of ANTF was constituted which was led by Inspector Sanjeet Sharma under guidance of Shri Shamsher Singh JKPS Dy. SP ANTF Jammu under overall supervision of Shri Vinay Sharma JKPS, SSP ANTF J&K.

With this recovery followed by the immediate arrest of the main receivers og drugs ANTF Jammu has been able to break the nexus of Narcotics and Psychotropic drugs suppliers and receivers from Kashmir valley to Punjab. This has been hailed as a major success by ANTF the specialised force of JKP to tackle the menace of Drugs.

ANTF J&K has appealed the general public particularly the youth to stay away from drugs and to share any kind of information regarding drug-related activities with ANTF so that strict legal actions are taken against such drug dealers. The identity of the informant as well as the whistle-blower shall be kept confidential. Persons found in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law. Community participation in the fight against drug abuse can serve the purpose of complete eradication of the menace of drugs from our society.
