JAMMU 16 Sep Showering all praises on a non-governmental organization, the ‘Sewa Bharti’, Sat Sharma said that the ‘Apna Bhojanalaya’ initiative by this NGO is a great service to mankind, particularly the poor people.
Sat Sharma, former BJP President & former Minister along with Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, J&K BJP Media Incharge, Bawa Sharma, Additional Protocol Secretary, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, District General Secretary, Atul Bakshi, Mandal President and others, was serving the subsidized meals to the people in the premises of GMC, Jammu, being established by ‘Sewa Bharti’.
Sat Sharma, speaking on the occasion, said that for the first time in Jammu an NGO has started the services of providing low rate meals to the people and the majority of the attendants of the patients in GMC are being benefitted. They are charged just rupees 10, which is just a nominal amount to not make the beneficiaries feel that they are getting free meals.
“Nar Sewa, Narayan Sewa is the principle guiding force driving these programmes and the persons serving here believe that they are serving the Almighty”, said Sat Sharma.
The ‘Apna Bhojanalaya’ is providing meals in a limited time span extending a few hours at present but soon the NGO has planned to extend the time, besides extending this facility to other hospitals of Jammu city, he added.
The BJP leader was of the view that such meal service is cheap and affordable for the people staying as attendants in the hospital for days together as it will not put any extra heavy burden on their daily expenditure.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra expressed hope that more organizations will come forward to support and extend such philanthropic works to provide relief to those who are in real need of emotional and physical support. It is indeed a great service, he said.
Bawa Sharma said that to provide hygienic food within the hospital premises at almost no-cost to the caregivers is a service that deserves applause from all.
Rajesh Gupta and Atul Bakshi said that this service is particularly helpful to the persons from the far-flung areas like Rajouri-Poonch, who have limited resources here.
The volunteers serving in the Apna Bhojanalaya, said that they are trying their best to provide hygienic food, clean water and sitting facility with proper cleanliness around and will extend the services as possible in the space available.
