Apni Party continues its district-level protests, demanding an adequate supply of ration, power, water, and other essential commodities for the people
Abdul Majeed Padder leads a rally in Kulgam; urges authorities to address pressing public issues and grievances
SRINAGAR, June 27: Continuing its district-level protests across the Valley, the Apni Party organised a rally in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday. The rally aimed to register a protest against the administrative inability to ensure a sufficient supply of ration, uninterrupted electricity and water, and other essential commodities to the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
The rally was led by Apni Party’s Chief Coordinator and District President of Kulgam, Abdul Majeed Padder, and it was joined by all the district leaders, workers, and local residents as well to make their voices heard.
According to a press release issued here, the participants, holding placards bearing slogans, expressed their dissatisfaction with the government’s failure to meet basic public needs.
On the occasion, Abdul Majeed Padder, while talking to reporters, said, “People in various parts of the Union Territory (UT) are grappling with significant challenges, including insufficient ration from the Ghats, frequent power outages, and water scarcity in many areas. It is the responsibility of the government to address these public issues and grievances, but unfortunately, the government seems least bothered by the genuine public demands.”
Padder added, “Apni Party is holding a series of protests at the district levels to ensure the administration looks into the public issues. Our objective is to ensure that the public’s concerns are not overlooked, and that an adequate supply of ration and other essential commodities, as well as uninterrupted power and drinking water, become accessible to the people. We will persist with these protest rallies until the administration takes appropriate action.”
