Apni Party urges the administration to ensure an uninterrupted power supply in the Valley
‘Frequent power outages cause misery for common consumers and business loss
Srinagar, June 13: Apni Party’s senior leader from north Kashmir’s Sopore zone, Javaid Ahmad Bhat, said on Tuesday that frequently interrupted power supply is causing miseries to common consumers and losses to businesses and industry. He urged the administration to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to consumers across the valley.
According to a press note issued here, Bhat made these comments in a press conference in Sopore.
He said, “There has been at least 25 percent curtailment in power supply in recent days, inflicting significant losses upon consumers, particularly traders and industrial unit holders. Most of the areas reel under the darkness due to the hours-long curtailment in the electricity supply.”
He further said that even tourists are subjected to suffering due to frequently interrupted power curtailment.
He said, “These days we have a huge number of tourists in the Valley, and they experience significant hardships due to the power crises here. Therefore, it is essential for the authorities to take proactive measures to ensure a continuous and reliable electricity supply to consumers.”
