Architecture Students Won Award at the National Regional Conference
The students of 2nd year of the Bachelor of Architecture, a UG Degree programe running at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) have won second prize in the prestigious LIVE Fashion Show competition conducted by the Punjab Chapter of Indian Institute of Architects (the National Society of Indian Architects) during National Regional Conference (NRC) titled “SANJH” at INTEX EXPO 2025 Ludhiana. The theme of the competition was “Fusion of Architecture and Emotions:


Where Fashion Meets Architectural Expressions”. The Schools of Architecture from Northern region of the country had participated in the competition.
The School of Architecture & Landscape Design (SoALD) of SMVD University had been given the theme “Fluidity & Dynamism” to showcase the architectural expressions through the attire design. The team of ten students, namely Mr. Partha (Lead), Mr. Ayushman (Show stopper), Ms. Murchana, Ms. Dhairya, Ms. Mamita, Ms. Aastha, Ms. Taniya, Ms. Yashaswi, Ms. Abhilasha, Ms. Anshika
have walked the Live ramp with respective unique couture concepts connecting the
thread of fluidity & dynamism in architecture.
The team presentation was titled as COUTURE CONQUERORS”. The participation by the students had been done under the mentorship & coordination of Ar. Aditya Kumar Singh, FISOLA, Associate Professor, along with faculty co-coordinator, Ar. Satyanshu Kumar, Assistant Professor, SoALD, SMVD University. Prof. Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SMVD University congratulated the remarkable co-curricular achievement of the SoALD. Ar. Abhiney Gupta, I/c Head and the faculty members of SoALD extended the warm praise to the faculty coordinators & the awarded students for bringing the laurels to the school.
It is pertinent to mention that SoALD has achieved the latest 31 st NIRF ranking among the schools of architecture across the country.
