ARMY–INDUSTRY INTERFACE: DGGGR ESM Job Seminar for Ex-Servicemen organised by DGR, Western Command HQ in Jammu
Rahul Shahi, Chair PHDCCI Jammu, along with Anil Sharma, Convenor PHDCCI Jammu MSME and Industry Committee , Amar Preet Singh Resident Officer of PHDCCI Jammu attended DGGGR ESM JOB SEMINAR for Ex Servicemen organised by DGR and Western Command Headquarters at 526 ASC Battalion Jammu.
Rahul Sahai was invited as the Guest of Honour for the Occasion. Major General Gaurav Gautam of GOC Tiger Division was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
Brig. Uttam Hakku, Additional Director General DRZW, introduced the dignitaries and welcomed them and the participants.
Major General Gautam in his address said that army is very much keen to support and provide job opportunities to the Ex Serviceman. He said that all ex servicemen are very disciplined and loyal persons and fit to get absorbed in different organizations. He thanked Rahul Sahai Chair PHDCCI , for taking out time to be with them at this event. He requested him to help them in getting the ex servicemen placed in the industry & service sector.
Rahul Sahai in his address said that there is great need to loyal and disciplined persons in the industry and Ex Servicemen are the right choice. He shared that lot of big industries are coming up in Jammu and more than 5000 persons will be required at various levels.
Sahai applauded ex army men about investment coming under new Industrial sector scheme worth Rs 28400 cr and said that this time is for persons who believe in survival of the fittest mantra and said that ex army men knows well how to fit in , Sahai said that this job seminar is a good start but it should be continued and many more programs should be organised in hot industrial belts , He assured full support of PHD Chamber for this cause. He also proposed to Maj General Gautam that PHDCCI Jammu along with his division to organise such Job Fair at Industrial areas of Jammu, Samba & Kathua.
Maj. General appreciated the proposal and suggested to start with Bari brahmana Industrial area and assured full support of his unit.
Job Fair was attended by more than 800 Ex Servicemen and was Co Ordinated by Col G P Singh and his team.
