Arrangements for annual Urs  of Sakhi Zain-ud-Din Wali (RA) Aishmuqam reviewed at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Syeed Fakhruddin Hamid in a review meeting held today took stock of the arrangements for the upcoming Annual Urs Sharief celebrations at Ziarat Sharief Sakhi Zain-ud-Din Wali (RA) in Aishmuqam Anantnag.

DC emphasized the need for meticulous planning to ensure the smooth conduct of the religious observance, which attracts a large number of devotees from across the region. 

The Annual Urs Sharief, particularly the Shab-e-Doum (Chiragaan) event holds deep spiritual significance for the local community.

DC passed specific instructions to the concerned District and Sectoral Officers, directing ARTO to formulate a detailed plan for traffic management. Health Department was instructed to set up medical camps near the Ziarat Sharief, with a team of doctors, nurses, and ambulances on standby to handle any emergencies. 

The Municipal Committee was tasked with maintaining cleanliness around the shrine and ensuring necessary amenities such as water supply and sanitation facilities to ensure the comfort of the devotees. Assistant Director FCS&CA was directed to ensure that extra food grains are available in the village to meet the demand during the event.

In addition, DC held consultations with religious leaders and representatives from the shrine management committee to ensure the smooth conduct of the religious ceremonies and observances during the Urs.

He urged the local community to cooperate with the authorities and follow all guidelines and protocols to ensure a peaceful and successful event. 

DC reassured the public that all necessary steps were being taken to ensure their convenience during the annual celebrations.

The meeting concluded with directions to officials and other stakeholders to ensure that Urs Sharief celebrations are a success.

The meeting was attended by the SDM Pahalgam, ARTO Anantnag, Tehsildar, EO

Municipal Corporation, Assistant Director FCS&CA, senior officials from various departments, including Health Services, PDD, PHE, Fire & Emergency Services.
