ARTO Doda leads plantation drive under ‘Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam’ at Bhaderwah

DODA, AUGUST 08: The Motor Vehicle Department Doda under the supervision of ARTO, Rajesh Gupta, conducted an environmental preservation drive titled “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” at Trial Ground, Bhaderwah.

The plantation drive was organized as part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada campaign, which emphasizes cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from officials of the Motor Vehicle Department Doda, Forest Office Bhaderwah, Transport Union, locals and the driver community. They planted numerous saplings, symbolizing a collective commitment to preserving the environment and honoring the sacrifices of martyrs. Aspirants also took a pledge to maintain a neat and clean district and to plant trees on every occasion and festival, reinforcing their dedication to environmental conservation.

The Swachhta Pakhwada campaign, a nationwide initiative, is being celebrated across the district with various activities aimed at promoting cleanliness and sustainability. The campaign encourages active community participation in cleanliness drives, waste management practices and the adoption of green habits.

This plantation drive, along with other activities under the Swachhta Pakhwada Sangram, aims to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment among citizens.
