ARTO hosts successful Road Safety Awareness Camp at Sumo Stand Baramulla

BARAMULLA, January 20: The office of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Baramulla Saturday organized a comprehensive Road Safety Awareness Camp at Sumo Stand Baramulla as part of the ongoing Road Safety Month.

The event witnessed active participation from the presidents and members of Sumo Stands in Tangmarg, Pattan, Uri, and Sopore, along with representatives from the Bus Stand.

The primary focus of the awareness camp was to address and highlight crucial road safety measures, aiming to create a safer environment for both drivers and pedestrians. The presidents of Sumo Stands and representatives from the Bus Stand actively engaged in discussions, sharing insights and experiences related to road safety challenges in their respective areas.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Baramulla, Muazzam Ali expressed the significance of collaborative efforts in promoting road safety. He emphasized the need for a collective commitment to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to reduce road accidents and ensure the well-being of commuters.

Various aspects of road safety, including responsible driving practices, the importance of seatbelt usage, adherence to speed limits, and the impact of distracted driving, were discussed during the awareness camp. Informational pamphlets and visual aids were distributed to further reinforce key safety messages.

The ARTO Baramulla assured ongoing efforts to enhance road safety through awareness campaigns, education programs, and stricter enforcement of traffic rules.
