Ashok Koul underlines localized, people-centric activism, in culturally rich areas like Bhaderwah
BJP Active Member Sammelan held in Bhaderwah to strengthen grassroots engagement
Bhaderwah 11 April: Emphasizing the vital role of active BJP workers, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), J&K BJP, said that “the role of an active member of BJP is crucial in building the party’s presence, strengthening its organizational structure, and connecting with the local population.” He underlined the importance of localized and people-centric activism, particularly in strategic and culturally rich areas like Bhaderwah.

Ashok Koul was addressing during the BJP Active Member Sammelan of Bhaderwah Assembly Constituency, held at Bhaderwah. Prominent leaders including Shakti Raj Parihar (MLA Doda West & Vice President J&K BJP), Daleep Singh Parihar (MLA Bhaderwah), Dhanantar Singh Kotwal (DDC Chairperson), Babu Ram Sharma (District President BJP Doda), and Pawan Sharma (Prabhari BJP Doda) were also present.
During his address, Ashok Koul urged active members to step up their village-to-ward engagement to understand people’s concerns and involve local civil society in disseminating awareness about Modi government welfare schemes and BJP’s organizational initiatives. He asked activists to organize area-specific programmes to ensure targeted outreach and strengthen public trust.
Highlighting upcoming campaigns, Koul emphasized active participation in the ‘Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan’, encouraging the inclusion of prominent civil society members at the grassroots.
Shakti Raj Parihar, speaking at the Sammelan, praised the Modi government’s economic achievements, stating that India’s rise from the 11th to the 5th largest economy globally is a testament to visionary policies and self-reliance initiatives like Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
Dalip Singh Parihar highlighted the sustained development and peace in Jammu & Kashmir under PM Modi’s leadership, acknowledging the government’s commitment to consistent policy implementation and ground-level transformation.
Dhanantar Singh, DDC Chairperson, detailed the fulfillment of BJP’s core promises, including economic growth, job creation, increased FDI through Make in India, and robust support for youth via Startup India and Skill India initiatives.
Babu Ram Sharma, District President, reaffirmed the dedication of BJP workers towards the party and society, assuring senior leadership that the active cadre in Doda will leave no stone unturned in strengthening the party’s connect with the masses.
Pawan Sharma reflected on BJP’s organizational expansion and electoral success, noting that the party’s continued mandate, including a third consecutive term at the Centre, reflects the growing public faith in BJP’s development-oriented governance.
