Aspirational Block Programme: DC Kishtwar presides over ‘Chintan Shivir’ during 2 day tour to SD Marwah
Inaugurates facilities under Agriculture Sector
KISHTWAR, September 26: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav embarked on a two-day tour to Marwah and Warwan Blocks of Sub Division Marwah of district Kishtwar, where he presided over the significant ‘Chintan Shivir’ to discuss action plan with the stakeholders for implementation of Aspirational Block Programme.
The ‘Chintan Shivir’ witnessed active participation from district and sectoral officers representing key departments, including Health, Education, Jal Shakti, Agriculture, and ICDS.
Notable attendees included DDC member Marwah Sheikh Zaffarulah, SDM Marwah Dr. Mohsin Raza, Tehsildar Marwah Gandeep Sharma, BDO Marwah Tariq Sarvardi, CDPO Marwah Kuldeep Kumar, CAO Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik, BMO Marwah, Dy CEO Kishtwar, and various other distinguished individuals.
The primary objective of the ‘Chintan Shivir’ was to conduct a comprehensive SWOT analysis of Key Departments and reviewing the implementation of various schemes across different sectors within the Aspirational Block program.
While assessing the progress of different departments, focusing on their priorities and deliverables, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of addressing any existing gaps and expediting developmental projects.Furthermore, he emphasized the need to extend individual beneficiary schemes at the grassroots level within these aspirational blocks.
Dr. Devansh Yadav encouraged all district officers to work collaboratively to saturate the schemes in these Aspirational blocks and achieve tangible results at the ground level.
During his two-day tour, Deputy Commissioner in presence of PRIs and District Officers also inaugurated the Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) at Nawapachi Marwah, a project constructed at a cost of 10.29 lakhs under Aspirational Block Development Fund. This center aims to provide farm machinery to local farmers, thereby reducing the cost of production and was dedicated to UMEED (JKNRLM) for further running.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, DC Kishtwar praised the efforts of the agriculture department for promoting mechanized farming in the area. He urged farmers to make optimal use of this facility, which promises to enhance agricultural productivity in the region.
In a gesture of support to the farming community, DC Kishtwar, in the presence of local PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions), distributed free-of-cost Maize Shellers to farmers in each of the 19 panchayats within both Marwah and Warwan blocks. These Maize Shellers were procured under the UT Capex budget, underscoring the administration’s commitment to bolstering agricultural practices and empowering local farmers.
The ‘Chintan Shivir’ and the initiatives undertaken during this tour underscore District Administration’s dedication to addressing the challenges faced by various departments and driving development in the Kishtwar region.
