Awareness camp for e-Shram workers held at Kupwara
KUPWARA, JANUARY 31: Labour Department Kupwara today held an awareness camp at Town Hall Kupwara which was aimed at disseminating information about enrollment of leftover e-Shram workers for Ration Cards.
The camp was attended by representatives from different Labour Unions, Anganwari Workers and other stakeholders.
On the occasion, the Labour Officer, Nandini Pandita and field staff of the Labour department provided awareness to the participants about the forthcoming special enrollment camps to be held in Kupwara district on February 2nd and 3rd.
The enrollment camps are aimed to facilitate the issuance of ration cards to the left out e-Shram workers (unorganized) and provide an opportunity for necessary updates and changes in compliance to the Hon’ble Supreme Court directions.
The concerned officers emphasized the importance of Ration cards and encouraged unorganized workers registered on e-Shram, to attend the special camps and subsequently approach the nearest Food Department (CAPD) office for obtaining or updating Ration Cards.
