Awareness Camp on PM-KUSUM scheme held at Kulgam
KULGAM, AUGUST 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), in association with the District Administration and KPDCL, today launched a three-day awareness camp for the implementation of Component ‘B’ of the PM-KUSUM scheme in Kulgam district.
The inaugural function held at new conference hall Kulgam was presided by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Bashir Ahmad Wani.
Joint Director Planning, Zahid Sajad; Deputy Chief Executive Officer, JAKEDA, Assistant Commissioner Development, and representatives from various line departments were present at the event.
The awareness program aims to educate farmers about the benefits of the PM-KUSUM scheme and its large-scale implementation in Kulgam district.
During the function, 68 Solar Home Lighting Systems and 244 Biomass Cook stoves were distributed among nomadic and tribal families residing in the district.
It was informed that JAKEDA plans to distribute these devices in all districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days.
Notably this awareness drive will continue for three days.
