Awareness camp organized at ANMT School Ramban
RAMBAN, JUNE 13: The Drug Control department Ramban, in collaboration with Department of Information and PR, on Tuesday hosted an awareness camp on the challenges posed by the drug abuse menace in the society, the Camp was held under the aegis of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan here in the ANMT School Ramban.
The programme was conducted on the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam.
During the awareness programme, the speakers highlighted the causes, consequences, and treatment options for substance abuse. They also emphasized the role of rehabilitation centers in providing therapeutic interventions for those struggling with addiction.
Speaking on the occasion, the Drug Control Officer, Imtiyaz Ahmed said it is our responsibility to educate the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse and provide them with access to the necessary resources to combat this issue.
He further said the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan is an important campaign that aims to address the issue of substance abuse and create a drug-free India.
He called upon parents to play their role and keep check on their children and counsel them regularly to stay away from drug use.
