Awareness cum sensitisation programme held at Trial Ground Narwal
JAMMU, February 22: An awareness-cum-sensitisation programme was today organised by Regional Transport Office Jammu to impart basic Driving Skills to students and acquaint them with the Road Safety rules.
In the programme, students of JK Group of Colleges comprising JK College of Education and JK College of BBA, along with the Driving License Seekers were made aware about the traffic rules and regulations and the new Motor Vehicles Act.
Addressing the public/students during the trial test in the ground, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, Pankaj Bhagotra said that the main objective of organising such programmes was to motivate the students to follow Road safety rules and spread awareness among the general public which would ultimately reduce the number of deaths caused due to accidents.
The students and the Driving License Seekers were appraised about the basic driving rules and educated the road safety rules/regulations and various causes which lead to accidents. The awareness programme was followed by distribution of certificates to the students by the RTO and his team.
The awareness programme was attended by ARTO (HQ) Mohd Saleem, ARTO (FS) Taramani Sharma and Professors of the Colleges.
