Awareness program on PM Vishwakarma Scheme held at Samba
SAMBA, FEBRUARY 15: A seminar cum awareness program on the PM Vishwakarma Scheme was held today, here in the conference hall of the DC Office, Samba.
Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, was the Chief Guest. The program commenced with a Welcome Address and Coordination by Rajesh Kumar.
DK Tyagi elucidated the Scheme Guidelines, highlighting that registration will be facilitated through Common Service Centers (CSC)/Atal Seva Kendras, as well as via the PM Online application, requiring Aadhaar-based biometric authentication on the Vishwakarma portal.
The necessary documentation includes Aadhaar, Mobile Number, Bank Details, and Ration Card information.
Subsequently, Sanjay Dhar, Lead District Manager, delineated the Role of Banks in the Scheme, emphasizing Concessional interest rates and the absence of collateral requirements for loan eligibility.
Further discussions encompassed Training Programs, including skill verification followed by 5 day basic training, 15 day or more advanced skills training, and a training allowance of Rs 500 per day.
Concluding the program, the DC Samba and Chairman of the PM Vishwakarma District Implementation Committee highlighted the scheme’s benefits in generating livelihoods and urged attendees to register.
The event culminated with a Vote of Thanks presented by Gurpreet Singh, General Manager DIC, and Member Secretary of the PM Vishwakarma District Implementation Committee.
