Awareness programme on Agniveer scheme of Indian Army recruitment held at Kupwara
KUPWARA, MARCH 13: Army Recruitment Officer (ARO), Srinagar on Monday conducted an Awareness Camp on Agniveer scheme at Town Hall Kupwara for Army Recruitment Rally, 2023.
Day-long awareness programe was aimed to provide detailed information about the Agniveer recruitment process.
Speaking on the occasion, Army Recruiting Officer, Colonel G. Suresh said that the aim of organising the camp is to aware the aspirants of the Kupwara district about the benefits of recruitment in the Army and the new procedure to apply.
He interacted with the aspirants and students who came from various areas of the district Kupwara and also heard their views and other questions put forth by the aspirants.
He further stated that aspirants of age group of 17 to 21 years can get themselves registered on the website and get first hand appraisal of the process of applying through online mode. He said that students of 10+2, Graduates, Government ITIs, Private Institutions and Polytechnics can also apply online and register themselves for the said Army Requirement Rally 2023 for Agniveer General duty, Agniveer technical, Agniveer Clerk/store keeper Technical, and Agniveer Tradesman.
While giving the details, ARO said that there is a good opportunity for ITI and polytechnic qualified candidates to join the Indian army.
“Candidates with 10+2 exam pass in science with physics, chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50 percent marks and one year course at ITI will get 30 marks Bonus. Candidates with the same qualification and percentage of marks with two years course at ITI will get a 40 marks bonus. Similarly 10+2 exam pass candidates who are also diploma holders will get 50 Bonus marks” ARO said.
Aspirants were given complete awareness through a powerpoint presentation about the registration process and other rules related to Army Recruitment Rally 2023.
On the occasion, Colonel G Suresh briefed the participants about the recruitment procedure.
“Last date for online registration is 15-3-23, Recruitment rally will be held in the month of June 2023 at High ground Anantnag” Col.Suresh said.
He said the first step is for the aspirants to register online and the registered candidates will have to undergo Computer-based CEE (Common Entrance Examination).
Sharing details of the improvised process, the Colonel said the website has been linked with DigiLocker so that candidates can easily access their documents. Further, a 50% subsidy in registration fees is being provided so that aspirants will only have to pay Rs 250.
Chairman Kupwara Municipality, Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Town commander Kupwara,Lt. Colonel Amit Mane , District Saink welfare officer Kupwara, Retired Captain Nisar Ahmad besides a large number of students and local aspirants participated in this awareness camp.
