Awareness programme on ‘drugs and substance abuse’ held at Imamia Model High School Leh

Leh, April 24, 2024: In continuation to the awareness programme on ‘drugs and substance abuse’ being organized by the Cultural wing of the Department of Information & Public Relations Leh, under the aegis of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting GoI and District Administration Leh; a similar programme was conducted at Imamia Model High School Leh.

Psychiatrist & Drug De-Addiction Specialist SNM Hospital Leh Dr. Tashi Tundup, Principal Imamia Model High School Leh Johar Zaman, Secretary Imamia School Arshad Hussain, Assistant Exhibition & Culture Officer DIPR Leh Stanzin Wangmo, Culture Assistant DIPR Leh Sonam Youton, faculty and staff members of Imamia Model High School Leh and students of the school, were present during the event.

Psychiatrist & Drug De-Addiction Specialist Dr. Tashi Tundup spoke widely about the various implications and corrective measures to apply to come out of substance abuse and encouraged the participating students to stay informed and away from such menace.
During the event, AE&CO, Stanzin Wangmo also shared her views.
Later, students were also encouraged to speak and consult Psychiatrist Dr. Tashi with their concerns related to mental well-being.
