Awareness programme on healthy life style, hazards of drugs held in GDC Jindrah
JAMMU, MAY 24: An awareness program under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and Sustainable Food system for healthy lifestyle was today organised here in Government Degree College Jindrah.
The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a pledge on the Theme, “Say No to Drugs and use of Sustainable food systems to maintain healthy lifestyle” by all the participants.
The program was organised by CDPO Dansal Ranbireshwar Singh and attended by a large number of College students, besides Dhruv Gupta, Tehsildar Dansal, Renu Sehgal, Principal GDC Jindrah, Reena Thappa, BDC Chairperson Jhajjar Kotli.
In his welcome address, the CDPO emphasized that there was an urgent need to eradicate the drug abuse which is jeopardizing the potential of youth, especially in the rural areas.
A nukkad natak on the theme was presented by the team of cultural wing of information department Jammu which conveyed an impactful message among the youth /students/Supervisors/AWWs and all participants about the ill effects of drug abuse.
Tehsildar Dansal encouraged the students and AWWs present on the occasion to spread the message and educate the rural masses against the harmful effects of drug abuse.
A song on Poshan Abhiyan was also sung by AWWs of Project Poshan Dansal. Different millet rich recipes were also displayed on the occasion and the participants were asked to include these in their daily diet to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Further, an AYUSH stall displaying Ayurvedic medicines was also set up and the medicines were also distributed among the participants.
