Awareness Programme on improving Gender Diversity held at GCW Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 27: Career Counselling and Guidance Cell Govt. College For Women in Collaboration with Human Resource Management Department and Reserve Bank of India organised a One Day Awareness programme for Improving Gender Diversity in Banking Sector especially RBI under Viksit Bharat program.

A large number of students and faculty members of GCW Udhampur participated in the event. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Anjali Mahajan, Principal GCW Udhampur in presence of Dr. Ravinder Kumar, Convener Career Counselling and Guidance Cell, Rohit Rawat, Assistant Manager RBI Jammu,  Zeenat Chugh, Assistant Manager RBI Jammu, members of career counselling and guidance cell and other faculty members. 

Rohit Rawat and  Zeenat Chugh  were the main speakers at  the occasion.

Prof. Anjali Mahajan Principal GCW Udhampur in her message appreciated and applauded the efforts of career counselling cell for organising such type of programmes to aware students about career options and facilitating environment especially for women.

The programme started with the welcome address by Dr. Ravinder Kumar in which he briefed about the working of the Career Counselling Committee of GCW Udhampur as well as the need for organising such kind of programmes in the college.

The resource person Rohit Rawat talked about the establishment and organization of RBI. While elaborating the lecture, he explained in detail different financial terms like Repo Rate, Reverse Repo Rate, Corporate Lending, Inflation, Factors of Inflation Liquidity, Banking Regulation, Digital Payments and Credit Policy. He also talked about the process of recruitment in RBI and Professional as well as Personal competencies required for the same.

Zeenat Chugh Spoke about the gender diversity in Banking sector and efforts of RBI to improve the gender diversity in their work places. She also appraised the audience about the flexibility of RBI for female staff and officers besides talking about the achievements of various women upto the level of Deputy Governors.
