Awareness Programme on Uterine Cancer Held at GDCW Kathua

Kathua, 07-09-2024:* The Women Development Cell of Government Degree College for Women (GDCW) Kathua, in collaboration with TIENS India Health Group, organized a crucial awareness programme on uterine cancer as part of the Mahila Suraksha Jagrukta Abiyan. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among female students about the early signs, risks, and preventive measures related to uterine cancer.

Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Savi Behl, the programme highlighted the growing concern of uterine cancer. Dr. Behl emphasized the importance of early detection and awareness in combating this rising health issue. Ms. Palak, representing TIENS India, educated the students on the symptoms and prevention strategies to safeguard their health.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Amita Dua, convener of the Women Development Cell. Other cell members present were Dr. Kamini Kapoor, Dr. Usha Kiran, and Dr. Gurpreet Kour.
