Awareness programme on ‘World Health Day’ held at Pulwama
PULWAMA, APRIL 07: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Pulwama in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer Pulwama today organized an awareness programme on ‘World Health Day’ in the conference hall of Chief Medical Officer’s office Pulwama.

The programme, organized under the chairmanship of Malik Shabir Ahmad, Chairman DLSA (Pr.District & Sessions Judge), Pulwama and under the supervision of Mudasar Farooq, Secretary DLSA Pulwama, was attended by Secretary DLSA Pulwama; Dr. Verinder Singh, Dy. CMO Pulwama; Dr. Javid, District Health Officer Pulwama and staff members of CMO office Pulwama and DLSA Pulwama.
In the address, Secretary DLSA gave insights regarding World Health Day, and asked the participants to raise awareness about gaps in maternal and newborn survival and the need to prioritize women’s long-term well-being and advocate for effective investments that improve the health of women and babies.
He also encouraged collective action to support parents as well as health professionals who provide critical health care.
Besides, the District Health Officer also delivered a speech on mental health, and stressed upon emotional, psychological and social wellbeing.
Furthermore M Sameer Yatoo, Panel Lawyer DLSA Pulwama and other officers from Health Department Pulwama also spoke on the occasion and enriched the audience about the importance of World Health Day.
