Awareness Rally was organized by NSS Unit in Collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club, Government Degree College for Women Kathua

KATHUA, April 17: An awareness Rally was organized by NSS Unit in Collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club of college on the theme SVEEP under the Indian presidency of G20 on 17-04-2023 in the college campus. The rally was flagged off by Dr Savi Behl, esteemed Principal of the College in Presence of Dr. Arun Dev Singh NSS Programme Officer, Prof Raj Kumari, Prof Pallavi and Dr Rajni (members organizing team of NSS).

It was started from college and returned from Sports Stadium and culminated in the college. Near about 100 NSS Volunteers and the students participated in the rally. The purpose of the rally was to spread message among the young students and people regarding the importance of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) and its purpose. Dr. Savi Behl addressed the rally and conveyed the volunteers and the people that they must be aware of voting process and motivated them that they should participate and aware the young voters in the adjoining areas and especially public. She appreciated the students and their efforts for presenting ideas and thoughts through Slogans, banners, play carts, and charts for educating the electors regarding procedure relating to registration of name in Electoral Roll during the rally. She said that the younger generation is the future of country and they can contribute and guide the new voters in better way.

Dr Arun Dev Singh, NSS Progamme officer and Convener Electoral Literacy club Spoke on the occasion and disclosed with our correspond that all young volunteers can be proved better tool work effectively and aware the youth in the election process. He motivated them to come forward and aware young people who are reaching in the age group of 18+, they should register with election process as soon as possible through their BLO in their respective Places. He also extended special thanks to the media persons who covered the rally. The volunteers Neha, Nikita, Minakshi, spoke on the occasion.
