Awareness Session under 100 Days Mission Shakti Special Drive held at Srinagar

SRINAGAR, JULY 25: The Department of Social Welfare, SANKALP- Hub for Empowerment of Women- Mission Shakti Srinagar, in coordination with OSC Srinagar, organised Awareness Sessions with family members including male members of the family on domestic violence and punitive measures under 100 Day Special Awareness cum enrolment drive for Mission Shakti.

The purpose of the program was to provide counseling sessions for male family members to avoid any domestic violence against their female family members.

It also aimed to provide assurance and motivation to females who are victims of violence that they are not alone and there is no need to tolerate any form of domestic violence that they face in their day to day life.
