Awareness workshop on ‘Mission YUVA’ held at GDC Ramban

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 13: Government Degree College Ramban in collaboration with Department of Labour and Employment, J&K organized one day awareness workshop on “Mission YUVA – Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan” under the patronage of Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal of the College.


The programme was attended by a large number of students and faculty of the College.


The programme witnessed the participation of various key figures including Pawan Kumar, Special Secretary, Labour and Employment, Roshan Lal Additional District Development Commissioner Ramban, Ganesh Kumar Dy. Director Statistics and Evaluation Ramban and Dr. Vishal Sharma Nodal Officer Mission YUVA for higher Education.


The event commenced with the welcome address by Principal of the College, Prof. Archana Kaul. She welcomed the guests and appreciated the efforts of the Government to bring together young minds to discuss various opportunities, challenges and support mechanisms available for youth development.


Pawan Kumar emphasised the government commitment to create avenues for the youth of J&K to get employed and equipped with skill development. He highlighted and discussed various schemes of the Govt. that provide financial aid and training and entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth. He also discussed the details of Mission YUVA scheme with the students and encouraged them to avail benefit from this scheme.


Roshan Lal, ADDC Ramban and District Nodal Officer Mission YUVA, in his speech, assured the youth that the District administration shall always stand with them to enhance the scope of youth centred programmes ensuring accessibility and success.


Ganesh Kumar, Dy. Director, Statistics and Evaluation Ramban, shared the statistical data pertaining to education and employment. He encouraged the students to go for entrepreneurship and develop their own businesses to secure a good future ahead. Dr. Vishal Sharma, Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA in Higher Education Department discussed the main aspects of Mission YUVA and helping the youth to understand the value of skill development in shaping their professional futures.


The proceedings were coordinated by Dr. Vishal Baloria. Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta, Nodal Officer for College Mission YUVA, presented the Vote of thanks.
