Awareness workshop on palliative care draws 200 participants at CHC Khaltse

Leh, Sept 7, 2023: A one-day awareness cum workshop on palliative care under National Programme for Palliative Care was conducted by the Health Department (NCD Cell) at the Community Health Center (CHC) Khaltse today.

Consultant Anesthetist with specialized training in palliative care services, Dr. Rinchen Dolma conducted the informative session. She illuminated the various facets of palliative care, emphasizing its importance in improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses.

A total of around 200 participants attended the workshop.

The event was attended by the Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Khaltse, along with members of the Women Alliance, Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Community Health Officers (CHOs), and medical officers from Khaltse block.
