BADP: DDC reviews Town Drainage scheme of Bandipora Town
BANDIPORA, May 09: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora today chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Town Drainage scheme under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) in the district.
Dr Owais assessed the status of the Town Drainage Scheme, which is aimed at improving the drainage system in the Bandipora town and surrounding areas. The scheme is being implemented under the BADP, which is a central government initiative aimed at promoting socio-economic development in areas situated along the international borders of India.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasized the need to expedite the work on the Town Drainage scheme and ensure its timely completion. He directed the officials to work in a coordinated manner and ensure that there are no delays or bottlenecks in the implementation of the scheme.
Dr. Owais also reviewed the progress made so far and discussed the challenges faced by the officials in the implementation of the scheme. He asked the officials to identify the areas that need immediate attention and take necessary steps to resolve the issues.
The meeting also discussed the allocation of funds for the scheme and how they are being utilized. The officials informed the DC that the funds allocated for the scheme are being utilized judiciously, and all efforts are being made to complete the work within the stipulated time frame.
Dr. Owais reiterated the importance of the scheme and its potential to improve the living conditions of the people in the district.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from various departments, including JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Coordinator WUCMA Mudasir Mehmod, Executive Engineer Public Works Department (PWD), Rural Development, Executive Engineer Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC), and other concerned officials.
