Bandipora police seize 4 vehicles in crackdown on illegal mining
In a determined effort to curb the rampant practice of illegal mining, the Bandipora Police conducted a targeted operation, resulting in the seizure of four vehicles transporting illicit mining materials.
The action, carried out under the ambit of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMRD Act), was coordinated with the District Mineral Office, Bandipora.

The vehicles were intercepted at various locations throughout Bandipora. Upon inspection, authorities discovered that they were carrying materials extracted without proper permits or licenses.
The police took swift action, seizing the vehicles and the illegal mining materials. The seized vehicles and materials have been impounded by the authorities.
Further investigations are underway to identify the individuals involved in the illegal mining operation.
