Bandipora police seize four tippers in crackdown on illegal mining
Bandipora Police have seized four tipper trucks in the Sumbal area of the district, for transporting illegally obtained mining material.

This action is part of an ongoing effort to curb illegal mining activities that damage the environment and deprive the region of valuable resources.
The seized vehicles were found to be carrying materials likely extracted without proper permits or from unauthorized locations.
The Bandipora Police acted under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMRD Act) in coordination with the District Mineral Office.
The District Mineral Office, Bandipora, has initiated further investigations into the matter to identify the individuals or groups behind the illegal mining operations.
