Baramulla police apprehend drug peddler, seize charas and cash
Baramulla Police arrested a man identified as Gh Mohi-ud-Din Malik, son of Ab Aziz Malik, a resident of Binner Baramulla, for alleged drug peddling.
A police party from the Old Town Baramulla Police Post intercepted a vehicle driven by Malik at a checkpoint established at Binner-Janbazpora Crossing.

During a search of the vehicle, police recovered 68 grams of charas, a narcotic substance, and cash amounting to Rs. 10,500, believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Malik was subsequently arrested and taken into custody at Baramulla Police Station. A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered, and an investigation into the matter is underway.
