Baramulla police apprehend drug peddler, seize contraband Charas

In a move to curb drug trafficking in the area, Baramulla police arrested a suspected drug peddler in Devdragar.

During a routine check at a police checkpoint established in Devdragar Tangmarg, officers intercepted a man identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Mir, a resident of Devdragar Tangmarg. Upon searching Mir, police recovered 30 grams of a substance suspected to be charas.

The recovered substance was taken into evidence, and Mir was arrested. A case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
