Baramulla police nab five fugitives evading arrest for over 3 decades
In a major win against those who try to outrun the law, Baramulla police have apprehended five absconders who evaded arrest for a staggering three decades.

Among those arrested are Nazir Ahmad Mir, wanted in connection with Case FIR No. 03/1988 at Tangmarg Police Station; Ali Mohd Kawa, who has been on the run since 1997 with Case FIR No. 115/1997 at Kunzer Police Station; Khursheed Ahmad Bhat and Farooq Ahmad Bhat, both eluding arrest for cases at Boniyar Police Station, FIR No. 52/2008 and 11/2009 respectively. Additionally, Abdul Majeed Khawaja has been apprehended by Boniyar Police Station.
The warrants for their arrest were issued by the Court of Sub Judge JMIC Tangmarg and Boniyar. The absconders had managed to evade capture since 1988, 1997, and 2009, respectively.
Following their apprehension, all five individuals were presented before the Hon’ble Court of JMIC Tangmarg and Boniyar, where they will face further legal proceedings.
