Baramulla police seize 9 vehicles, arrest 9 drivers in illegal mining crackdown
Baramulla Police have launched a crackdown on illegal mining activities in the district. In a major operation, they seized nine vehicles and apprehended nine drivers allegedly involved in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals.

The action took place across four locations: Khanpora, Shrai, Kreeri, and Mirchimar in Baramulla. The seized vehicles include seven tippers, commonly used for transporting loose materials, and two tractors.
The apprehended will face legal proceedings in accordance with the relevant statutes governing mining activities in the area.
