Baru called on JMC Commissioner Rahul Yadav, discussed delayed development projects and street lights issues

JAMMU, JULY 20: Representing the long pending demand of the residents of Talab Tillo area of Jammu West Assembly constituency, BJP senior leader and former JMC Councillor Sanjay Kumar Baru, called on Rahul Yadav, JMC Commissioner, at his office, town hall Jammu.

During the meeting Sanjay Baru discussed various development and local issues of Talab Tillo, Bohri and Camp Gole Gujral area with JMC Commissioner, who is also CEO of Jammu Smart City Project.

Sanjay Baru said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation have taken many steps for the development, beautification and proper sanitation of Jammu city, especially by enhancing the basic infrastructure and starting “door to door” garbage collection and by installing thousands of street lights across all the wards of Jammu City, he added.

Baru further said that after JMC had dissolved   few months back, now there is lack of coordination between the departments which is causing so many problems among the people. Development projects likes footpath/widening of main Talab Tillo road and construction of nallah in Durga Nagar near Akhnoor main road under Jammu Smart City Projects are delayed due to non-seriousness of contractors and JMC electricians and helpers are not visiting regularly in their respective wards, which are causing blackout like situation in the nights because the maximum streetlights are not working properly.

Baru asked JMC Commissioner Rahul Yadav to pay an early visit in Talab Tillo locality for the inspection of the delayed development projects and listen the public grievances on the spot.

The JMC Commissioner gave a patient hearing, accepted invitation to visit Talab Tillo area and also passed instructions to the concerned departments for early redressal of all the issues.
