Baru distributed uniform among Safai Saathi, reviews “Cleanliness Drive” before Maha Shivratri

JAMMU, February 13 : BJP Senior Leader and JMC Councilor Ward No. 41 Sanjay Kumar Baru along with JMC ward supervisor William Massih distributed uniform among the NGO’s “Safai Saathi” at JMC ward office Wazir lane Bohri and directed the JMC officials for massive cleanliness drive before the pious event of Maha Shivratri.

Sanjay Baru along with JMC team also visited residential areas of Anand Nagar, Surya Vihar, Colonel Colony and Wazir lane to review cleanliness drive before “Maha Shivratri”.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Baru said that as the area of our ward-41 is low lying, it causes frequent water logging in the rainy season. He said that the problem persisted since long in these areas causing inconvenience to the residents. He added that the irrigation channels are converting into the garbage points, which are a serious nuisance a. He said that the preventive and corrective measures for the above problems are being considered.

He added construction work of 1350mtrs deep drain from Bohri Chowk  to Santra Morh main Nallah via Hazuribag with the estimated cost of  4.5Crores is nearly to complete and another  23 Crores new sewerage project by UEED have been  approved by the Empower Committee of JK-UT government, particularly for this low lying areas.

Sanjay Baru said that this extensive cleanliness drive is especially being undertaken now before the pious event of Maha Shivratri. He said that the JMC is committed to help the residents of Jammu Urban with their own help as well to keep the Jammu numero-uno in cleanliness.

During the tour local Residents appreciated the development works done by BJP Senior Leader and local Councilor.

JMC Supervisor William Masih, Nigran Sanjay Sharma, Ashish Gupta, Naseeb Kumar, Parveen Kumar were present  during the tour.
