Baru presses officials of Jammu Smart City for early completion of footpath at Talab Tillo

JAMMU February 12: Cele Shopkeepers of main road Bohri and Hazuribag today gathered near Dewan Breweries at Bohri chowk and held protest against the officials of Jammu Smart City for laxity in the ongoing construction work of drain and footpath at main road Talab Tillo near Bohri, upon getting the information about the protest, BJP Senior Leader & JMC local Councilor Ward No 41, Sanjay Kumar Baru  reached there to listen their grievances.

Baru called the higher authorities of Jammu Smart City Project on the spot.

Director Jammu Smart City Project Sham Lal Kapoor listened the problems faced by Shopkeepers patiently and after the assurance that the remaining works would be completed at earliest Shopkeepers withdrew their protest.

 Sanjay Baru also conducting an extensive tour of adjoining Bohri at Talab Tillo Road along with Jammu Smart City Project Director Er. Sham Lal Kapoor, JEs and directed the authorities to widening of main Bohri chowk by moving the trees,he also directed them for proper cleanliness and repair of deep drain at main road near Jk Bank Bohri, before the construction of footpath.

Baru also reminded the Director  Smart City Project, issue of widening the road which was already taken up during his last tour at congested Talab Tillo area especially near Kamla Palace Link Road, Poonch House. He pointed out that there is an adjacent huge chunk of land lying vacant, which belongs to the district adminstration which can be utilized for maintaining the appropriate width of Talab Tillo road.

Sanjay Baru appealed all the local shopkeepers to cooperate in the construction works initiated under the smart city project. He also asked the contractors working under the project as well as officials to work with utmost caution and without causing any unnecessary inconvenience to the masses

Office bearers of Bohri Shopkeepers Association thanked and paid gratitude to Local BJP Leader to sought out various issues immediately and assured all possible cooperation.
