Baseline Survey under Mission YUVA-2.0 takes off in Jammu Division

Youth sensitised about scheme benefits through IEC campaigns


JAMMU, JANUARY 07: The baseline survey to ascertain the contemporary entrepreneurial landscape and identify gaps in different regions was launched in several districts of Jammu division, here today under Project YUVA (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan) 2.0.


The day also witnessed Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaigns to enlighten participants about the objectives of Mission Yuva: Udyam Jagriti 2.0, the opportunities it offers for skill development, financial and logistical support to aspiring entrepreneurs.


The survey aims to create a comprehensive database to design targeted interventions for capacity building, skill development, and entrepreneurship promotion under Mission YUVA.


The District Employment and Counselling Centre Jammu, conducted the Udyam Jagriti 2.0 – Baseline Survey and IEC Campaign under Mission YUVA at the Government College of Engineering and Technology Bhalwal.


Additional District Development Commissioner Sher Singh was the chief guest at the programme.


Participants were informed about government schemes and initiatives supporting startups and self-employment. The event saw active participation from students, faculty and officials.


Ramban: District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, formally launched the baseline survey under Mission YUVA here at a mega event held today here in the Government Degree College. The initiative aims to empower the youth and drive meaningful development in the district.


College Principal Archna Koul, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer Ganesh Kumar, Assistant Director Employment Amit Kumar, BDO Ramban Tanzil Runyal and other senior officers participated in the inaugural program.


Interacting with the participants, DSEO Ganesh Kumar provided insights into the methodology and objectives of the baseline survey.


Kathua: A district-level program was held at Panchayat Bhajwal in Block Nagri to launch the Baseline Survey for Udhyam Jagriti 2.0 under Mission YUVA.


Additional District Development Commissioner Surinder Mohan Sharma inaugurated the program and highlighted the significance of Mission YUVA in fostering entrepreneurial awareness and youth empowerment in the region.
The officials elaborated on the objectives of Udhyam Jagriti 2.0, focusing on conducting a baseline survey to assess the skillsets, aspirations, and employment opportunities available to the youth in the district. The event concluded with an interactive session where officials addressed queries and shared insights on the implementation process of the baseline survey.


The program was attended by officials, ex-PRI members, besides a large number of local stakeholders.


Kishtwar: The District Administration Kishtwar, in collaboration with the District Employment and Counseling Centre (DE&CC organized an awareness program on Mission Yuva: Udyam Jagriti 2.0 here under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan.


The program aimed to raise awareness about the key schemes for youth like Mission YUVA and others, which focuses on fostering entrepreneurship and skill development among the youth.


Various stakeholders, including students from ITI participated in the event.


The AD DE&CC informed that till date more than 20,000 students in the District have registered themselves in the Baseline Survey under the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) framework.


The Baseline Survey, launched earlier, seeks to gather insights into the current entrepreneurial landscape and identify gaps that need to be addressed.


SAMBA: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Arazi, Samba hosted a pivotal one-day program focused on the Udhyam Jagriti 2.0 Baseline Survey, a cornerstone initiative under Project YUVA (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan). The program, spearheaded by District Development Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, marks a significant step forward in the district’s commitment to youth entrepreneurship development.


The survey aims to create a data-driven foundation for implementing targeted youth development programs across the district.


RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma flagged off an awareness rally on Mission YUVA, a revolutionary initiative aimed at promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth. The rally commenced from Dak Bungalow, Rajouri and concluded at Mandi Bridge.


The rally witnessed active participation from various departments, including Rural Development Department (RDD), Labour & Employment, ITI, Industries, and students from across the district.


Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the transformative potential of Mission YUVA, emphasizing that the scheme has been designed to overcome challenges faced by young entrepreneurs. “The baseline survey for Mission YUVA can now be updated through the Mission YUVA app, making the entire process digital. Young entrepreneurs no longer need to visit multiple departments for plan processing, as everything is streamlined online,” he stated.


UDHAMPUR: A district-level awareness program, “Udyam Jagriti 2.0,” under Mission Yuva, was organized at Riwaayat Banquet Hall Udhampur to spread awareness about the Mission Youth scheme.


Video clips showcasing the goals and objectives of Mission Youth were screened at the event, followed by a detailed lecture by the DDM NABARD Udhampur. The DDM elaborated on the credit facilities under Mission Yuva, emphasizing the provision of collateral-free loans and interest subvention to entrepreneurship among youth. Xen PDD also briefs on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
POONCH: District Department Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal presided over Mission YUVA (Udyam Jagriti) 2nd Awareness Campaign in panchayat Dagwar organised by DECC in collaboration with RDD Department.


A large number of people from adjoining panchayats attended the awareness campaign. They were educated about the aims and objectives of Mission YUVA.
Deputy Director Employment provided an overview at Mission YUVA initiative, explaining the scope of the scheme in fostering entrepreneurship ecosystem.


REASI: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Nidhi Malik chaired a District-level awareness camp under Mission Yuva at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Reasi. The primary focus of the event was to inform participants about the Baseline Survey initiated under Mission Yuva, aimed at identifying and bridging the skill gap among the youth. The event witnessed participants from various Colleges, schools.


The DDC emphasized the transformative potential of Mission Yuva in enhancing employment opportunities for local youth. She highlighted that the initiative seeks to connect skilled jobseekers with suitable employers and foster entrepreneurship within the district.
