Bhaderwah gears up to host 3-day Baisakhi Festival from April 13

DODA, April 11: The Bhaderwah Valley has geared up to host a scintillating 3- day festival here from April 13 to April 15 to mark the celebration of Baisakhi.

In this regard, a meeting of officers of line departments, PRIs and religious organisations was today convened by Additional District Commissioner Chowdhary Dilmir here in his office chambers.

The meeting was attended by ASP, DFO, SDPO, BDO, PRIs of some panchayats and members of Mandir committees and Langer committees.

Threadbare discussion was held regarding Celebration of the Festival in the periphery of Bhadarwah. It was informed that Baisakhi mela shall begin from Subar Dhar on 13th April where government departments put up stalls to showcase their schemes along with amusement activities for the participants.

 On April 14 the functions shall be held at Thuba and Gutassa. Nagni Mandir Manthala and Vasuki Nag Mandir Gatha shall host the programme on 15th April 2023.

Security arrangements, arrangements for drinking water at venues, uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities were finalized. Emphasis was laid on the cleanliness of the venues where dustbins shall be installed by the Departments of BDA and RDD. At the end of the programme Safai Abhiyan shall be held at the venues to make the area pollution free and environment friendly” they added.

The ADC sought cooperation from the Mandir Committees and the Langer Committees for keeping the atmosphere neat and clean in and around the venues.
