Bhalla, other senior Congress Leaders prevented to reach Dhangri

RAJOURI, January 2: The administration today prevented the senior Congress Leaders led by  Working President Shri Rămân Bhalla,Ravinder Sharma,Th Manmohan Singh and Amrit Bali who were enroute Dhangri to express solidarity with the families of victims of terror attack .

The Senior Congress Leaders Shri Rămân Bhalla and Manmohan Singh & ors were stopped at Rah Siot two kms before Sunderbani ,when they proceeded ahead on foot .Later they were allowed up to Sunderbani and stopped there from proceeding ahead.  They were not allowed to proceed ahead . A number of youth Congress and Congress workers and others assembled outside Dak bunglow and held a strong protest against the unjustified action of administration. . 

Mr Ravinder Sharma Ex-MLC and Chief Spokesperson Mr Ravinder Sharma and Ex-MLC and former Chairman Legislative Council  Jahangir Mir were stopped at Kallar near Rajouri and were not allowed to proceed for one hour. However they protested the action of the police and proceeded to the spot later

Former Minister and District President Congress Shabir Ahmed Khan alongwith Rajesh Bittu& Pushpinder Gupta both Congress  councillors, Anil Chopra, Balkrishan, vijay Guru, Lalit Mahajan, Azar Mehmood, Amit Sayal, adnan Khan, Faisal Khan accompanied Mr Sharma to the site  of incident and met the aggrieved family members and large number of people at Dhangri Chowk. 

The Congress Leaders apprised the LG Manoj Sinha on the spot about the demand of locals to strengthen security network including the VDCs and setting up of army pickets  în rural & remote villages. Sharing the grief of the families, they said that the unfortunate incident should not have happened , had the VDCs not disbanded and security on alert.  

Mr Sharma assured the LG  administration and the security agencies full cooperation to deal with militancy and ensure protection of the innocents and sought concrete measures în this regard 

JKPCC strongly criticised the action of administration for not allowing the Senior Congress Leader Rămân Bhalla and ors from proceeding to the site of terror attack to share the grief of families of victims and pay tributes to the martyrs, while BJP Leaders others were allowed without any restrictions.
