Bhalla pays tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh on his death anniversary
Jammu, April 26: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today paid floral tributes to the late Maharaja Hari Singh on his death anniversary.
Remembering the true visionary, patriot and the last Dogra ruler of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singhji on his death anniversary today, ” Bhalla recalled the “sea of changes in J&K brought in by Maharaja Hari Singh”.
“His well-organized public administration system, people friendly policies, promotion of free & compulsory education for all, developmental and infrastructural works etc were milestones in J&K’s development, ” he said.”His religion was ‘justice to all’.
In his public speech, the Maharaja remarked “If I am considered worth governing this State, then I will say that for me all communities, religions and races are equal. As a ruler, I have no religion; all religions are mine and my religion is justice, ” he added. He said that the Maharaja was also a Social Reformer who eradicated illiteracy, untouchability, inequality, and other social evils like female infanticide and the dowry system.

Bhalla added that Maharaja Hari Singh was a patriot and he was well ahead of times and brought the most revolutionary reforms in the society. He said that Maharaja played a pivotal role in the Round Table Conference in London to call the bluff of the British imperialists and upheld the unity of India. He developed the system based on equitable justice for all sections of the society.
