Bhupinder Kumar chairs public darbar at Pulwama; Emphasizes public participation as crucial in govt initiatives
PULWAMA, JANUARY 11: Secretary, Public Works Department (R&B), Bhupinder Kumar, today convened a public darbar at Pulwama under “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, an ambitious public outreach initiative of the government aimed at understanding and addressing local concerns.
The public darbar witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, providing a platform for residents to voice their developmental concerns.
The public delegations put forth various concerns and demands seeking an early redressal to the same. They expressed satisfaction with the outreach program, viewing it as a conduit for the Government to expedite resolutions through appropriate channels.
Secretary not only assessed the public grievances but also conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing development activities in the district. He emphasized the pivotal role of public participation in government initiatives.
Expressing gratitude for community’s huge involvement, Secretary highlighted the importance of creating awareness about online services and digitization. This, he emphasized, would empower citizens to effectively leverage various Government schemes and flagship programs. He assured the public that timely completion of ongoing projects would be prioritized.
Assuring swift action, Bhupinder Kumar assured to take up all public demands to the relevant authorities for redressal.
Secretary recognized individuals for their contribution, presenting authority letters for deep bore wells, approvals under the mumkin scheme, appreciation certificates, golden cards, sanction letters to various beneficiaries besides distributing Ujjwala gas connections.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Qayoom affirmed that all public inputs from the darbar would be recorded and integrated into actionable plans.
Secretary also inspected stalls set up by various departments, showcasing their achievements and schemes.
The event, enriched by a captivating cultural program, not only entertained the audience but also underscored the administration’s dedication towards fostering an open dialogue between the government and the common masses.
Earlier, Secretary administered Sankalp oath to all stakeholders wherein they pledged for a developed nation.
Among others the public darbar was attended by DDC Chairperson Pulwama, ADDC Pulwama, Chief Engineer Public Works Department besides district and sectoral officers.
