Bihar: Two persons injured in explosion at Madrasa in Saran, NCPCR takes cognizance
Saran (Bihar) [India], May 16 (ANI): The National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken cognizance of the information about a boy and a Muslim cleric being injured in an explosion in a Madrasa in Saran, Bihar. NCPCR chairman Priyank Kanoongo stated that he would be reaching the spot on Friday and conducting a fact-finding investigation.
Taking to ‘X’ NCPCR chairman Priyank Kanoongo said, “NCPCR has taken cognizance of the information about a boy and a Muslim cleric being injured in an explosion in a Madrasa in Saran, Bihar. I will reach there tomorrow with a team and conduct a fact-finding investigation into the matter. Persons willing to give information on this subject can contact me directly or through the District Child Protection Officer, Saran.”
Earlier in a press release Saran police said that on May 15 at 6:00 pm, information of an explosion was received near the Madrasa located in Motirajpur village under Garkha police station in Saran in which two people got injured.
“According to the initial information, firecrackers were being manufactured there by both the injured persons Maulana Immuddin (40 years) and Noor Alam (15), but only after their statement the cause of the explosion would be known. The FSL team has been called and further research is being carried out. The injured are being treated in Patna,” Saran police said.
