BJP celebrates Atal ji’s birthday as Sushasan Diwas, pays floral tributes

JAMMU, December 25: J&K BJP celebrated Bharat Ratna and Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji’s birthday as Sushasan Diwas (Good Governance Day) and paid floral tributes to Atal ji at various places across J&K.

The programmes were organized at the ward and the Booth level around the region.

J&K BJP President Sat Sharma accompanied by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, MLA Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Vikram Randhawa, former Minister Priya Sethi, senior leader Rajeev Charak, spokesperson Purnima Sharma and other senior leaders paid floral tributes to the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji at Atal Chowk, Panjtirthi, Jammu.

In J&K BJP headquarters, J&K BJP President Sat Sharma accompanied by General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, MLA Vikram Randhawa, former Minister Priya Sethi, Tilak Raj Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Dr Pardeep Mahotra, Prof Kulbhushan Mohtra, and other senior leaders of the party inaugurated the Exhibition.

Sat Sharma, while paying tributes said that the whole of India is remembering Atal ji on his birth Anniversary. He said that Atal ji dedicated his whole life to ‘MatruBhumi’. He led a simple life and showed that “Tan Samarpit, Man Samarpit, Aur Yeh Jeevan Samarput, Chahta Hun Desh Ki Dharti, Tujhe Kuch Aur Bhi Doon”.

He praised Atal ji for his commitment to strengthening the nation and mentioned the ‘Pokhran nuclear tests’. His commitment was never to bend or compromise on national interests. He said that Atal has ji participated in the national movements since his student life. Under his able leadership, we conquered the Kargil War both on the ground as well as in reality. Emphasizing that India won all earlier wars in battlegrounds but lost them on the table due to the weak leadership of that time. He said that due to his exemplary governance, this day is also known as ‘Good Governance Day’. He asked that we all should take lessons from his life works.

Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Bharat Mata will always remember his services for the centuries to come. He said that Atal ji was a friend of everyone and tried to create friendly relations even with neighboring, nation Pakistan.

Dr. Nirmal Singh narrated the life instances and the significance of the virtues of Atal ji. He also mentioned the high social and political values, Atal ji had imbibed in the Nation.

Kavinder Gupta said that today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is progressing with the same principle in mind, which ensures benefit to the last person standing in the last line in society.

Sunil Sharma asked all to imbibe the spirit of strong nationalism in their hearts. He added that Atal ji was a dedicated politician, poet, and social activist.

At Talab Tillo, Sat Sharma along with Ayodhya Gupta, Sanjay Baru and other local leaders of the party paid floral tributes to the former Prime Minister.
