BJP celebrates Shree Guru Ravidas Jayanti

J&K BJP celebrated Shree Guru Ravidas Jayanti with fervour at its party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

While paying floral tributes to Sant Shree Guru Ravidass ji Maharaj, Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP, and Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization) addressed the party workers present on the occasion.

Sat Sharma said that Shri Guru Ravidas was a great Saint, philosopher, poet, and a social reformer. He said that Guru Ravidas was devoted towards the Almighty and was a great poet. Sant Ravidas tried to express himself through Bhakti and Satsang. He always worked for the betterment of society. He said that the Modi government is taking forward the teachings of Sant Ravidas Maharaj and working incessantly for the welfare of the poor, downtrodden and those who were neglected and oppressed.

Ashok Koul said that Shri Ravidas birth anniversary is celebrated by BJP activists and his followers to remember his great teachings as well as renew the establishment of peace and brotherhood all over the world. He prompted others to follow the teachings of Sant Shree Guru Ravidass Maharaj and dedicate their time to serve the needy persons.

Senior leader & former minister, Bali Bhagat, said that Guru Ravidas preached equality in communities and preached to promote social harmony in society.

Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Balbir Ram Rattan. He said that Sant Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated with a lot of zeal not only in India but in many countries.  He further said that Sant Ravidas has always worked to uplift the weaker sections of society.

Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Parduman Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Seema Devi, Gulshan Bhagat, Ashok Gandhi, Rekha Mahajan, Mohinder Bhagat, K. K. Digra and G. R. Bhagat, also spoke on the occasion.
