BJP incessantly takes up issues faced by the masses, stated Dr Nirmal Singh

JAMMU July 24: Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy. Chief Minister, accompanied by  J&K BJP Vice-President Anuradha Charak, former MLA Prof. Gharu Ram and Secretary Arvind Gupta, was listening to the public grievances at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

A large number of people, individually as well in the form of deputations, visited the BJP office to discuss their respective issues with the senior party leaders. Various issues raised contained matters of individual concerns as well as development oriented related to their respective areas.

A deputation of people from Hiranagar narrated to Dr. Singh that 2 sisters from a family lost their lives a few years ago due to electric shock from high tension cable, the PDD gave employment to their father on a temporary basis which was never regularized. The PDD also did not give any compensation for the demise of the two daughters. Similarly, a group of people from Londi and Bobiya areas shared with Dr. Nirmal Singh that the army acquired lands of displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 but those of 1965 have not been paid even a single penny by the army. Moreover, the allottees among displaced  persons  of 1965 have not been given ownership rights. Dr. Nirmal Singh took up these issues with the PDD senior officials, DC and SDM and stressed on them to look into their matters on priority.

Deputations from Basohli, Barnai, Billawar took up various issues, particularly installation of electric poles in their areas.

Besides various personal issues, other main issues presented related to PHE, PDD, roads, lanes, drains etc.

Dr. Nirmal Singh listened to all the individuals and the deputations patiently and immediately took up the matters with the concerned departmental officials telephonically as well as issued letters for the others. Talking to the concerned authorities, he pressed for the prompt redressal of the issues.
