“BJP is anti-people,” says SP chief Akhilesh Yadav

New Delhi [India], August 29 (ANI): Samajwadi Party chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav lashed out at the BJP and said the party was anti-people.

Taking to social media platform X he said, “Just as BJP indirectly denies ‘reservation’ by talking about changing the constitution, in the same way it denies ‘caste census’ by talking about social division.”

He said that BJP takes back its decisions ‘shamelessly’ when protests increase.

“The anti-people BJP gets such things done by its leaders instead of saying them directly and when the public protest increases, it shamelessly talks about taking it back and washes its hands off the poor people who have become pawns” the SP chief said.

“In such a situation, those poor people are left helpless to face the anger of the public” he added.

He accused the BJP of not being close to its own people as well.

“BJP is not even close to its own people, what will it be to the public,” he said.

“The ‘Khair’ people of Aligarh are saying that this time BJP will be in trouble,” he added.

Earlier on Tuesday, August 27, Akhilesh Yadav slammed BJP MP Kangana Ranaut for her remarks on farmers’ protests and said that the words were “deliberate” and was the “BJP’s script.”

“This is the BJP’s script, which is being read out by an actress as dialogue on the instructions of a top director. When an ordinary politician understands that using abusive language about the farmers’ movement in a farmers’ state will harm their prospects, the BJP’s Chanakya does not understand this?” Mr Yadav said in a post in Hindi on X.

“The real truth of this episode is that such a thing must have been said deliberately so that the statement of the actress can be cited as the reason for the defeat that has already been decided in Haryana and the top leadership is not blamed for it. This is not a statement but a ‘word shield’ to protect someone,” he added.
